Our Acts 2 Staff

Acts 2 is blessed with a wonderful and dedicated staff, all of whom have been with us in some capacity for a decade or more. It is our ministry team's goal to faithfully serve the congregation, to encourage them in the word of God, to spur them toward godly living, to be positive examples, and to model our "Together in Life" vision.

In addition to the staff listed below, Acts 2 is overseen by a committed board including Bill and Caitlin Heffelfinger, Beverly Stevenson (wife of our former pastor Rob Stevenson), Emil and Tammy Peco, and Don and Cindy Dickey.

Staff Members

  • Pastor Bill and Caitlin Heffelfinger

Bill Heffelfinger serves as the pastor of Acts 2 Church, and he is supported by his beautiful wife, Caitlin. Their children, Grace, Lauren, Drew, and Joanna, are among the many children who bring vibrancy to our church family. Bill and Caitlin are passionate about seeing the people of God growing in the faith and living that out on a daily basis. Of course, passion runs deep in this family, as you will often see Bill passionately rooting for his beloved ODU sports teams and Caitlin chasing her passion for running in a way only other marathoners would understand. An experienced educator, Caitlin also serves as our children's coordinator.

  • Jaron Stevenson - Worship Leader

Jaron comes from a longstanding Acts 2 and musical family. His grandfather, Rob Stevenson, served as our senior pastor for decades and his father as worship leader. Today, Jaron has come into his own as a musician. Whether leading worship at Acts 2, entertaining  as a professional crooner at the oceanfront, or singing with Old Dominion University, Jaron's smooth voice and unassuming charm bless all who have the pleasure of listening to him. He brings a fresh, youthful energy to our Sunday morning service, ushering the congregation into the presence of God.

  • Dina Sleiman - Church Administrator

Dina Sleiman has been involved in some form of ministry or another for the past 30 years. In addition to serving our church administratively and through worship dance, she is also a writer for international humanitarian organization, Operation Blessing, a multi-published Christian novelist, wife, and mother of three great kids.
